| I noticed this coming off the highway. I saw two bright, yellow lights in the sky that appeared to be very bright flares, but they weren't moving. I had never seen anything like it and it made me pull over. The light on the right kept going on and off. I thought they might be helicopters, but they didn't display normal movement. I observed for a few minutes, then went home to grab my wife. It looked like they were over one of the Gulf Islands (I live in Sidney, BC). By the time I went back out with my wife, the two lights were gone. She just told me a plane went down earlier in the day at Saturna and that a rescue mission was going on, but it didn't look like a typical S+R mission. Any info you have about what other eyewitnesses may have seen in regards to this would be most helpful! | |
