| We were outside on driveway sunday night/ monday morning just around midnight . I was looking out to sky as i always do . It was shortly after that i saw what i thought was a bright star. I then realized it was moving . I called to my wife to look as she was nearby. At first i thought it was a falling star . As it seemed to have same movement and near speed as one. Even though it was MUCH brighter then any fallen star i had ever seen , i was not too concerned about it...yet . Before I go much further with this story I would like to point out a few things. First being that I have been watching the stars since my late teens...i am 41 yrs old now. I have seen northern lights, falling stars ,planets and their moons ,100's of meteors one even in day light.I have even watched the International Space Station sail by just before dark. So I guess my point is I understand the night sky and I had NEVER seen a Unidentified flying object. I have also seen alot of Airshows and airplanes as I love watching both. So as I was saying , this Object appeared to be moving apx 45 degrees across sky. Moving from South to North in the Western sky. It started at apx height of moon and moved across at the apx. speed of a falling star. It was pretty bright. I would say about 6 or 7 out of ten. This was also in City lights with thin clouds that it appeared this bright. I could only make out the light. it was Circle in shape with no blinking or flickering. As far as size I would say it would have been close to the size of a cigarette end . Maybe a little smaller. But MUCH bigger then any star or planet.This is when it gets STRANGE. As this object went across sky in order not to lose sight of it through tree. I moved myself to keep an eye on it . I never lost sight of it. It was then that it shot out in a totally diffrent direction. It had been going North but with out slowing down it suddenlly went in a Northern direction. It also changed speed at a rate i have never ever seen. Faster then all the things i have ever seen in my life. It was then i jumped as high as i could in excitment. This whole ordeal lasted about 20-30 seconds.The object never changed brightness even when it changed direction. I lost it when it got close to moon light. This was witnessed by my wife as well. We both agree that was the most amazing thing we have ever seen and will probally never see anything like it again. One more thing. we live close to Toronto Airport (pearson) i thought about calling them with this but...well what do you really say. Any input would be great. Thanks in Advance. | |
