| Gibraltar is at the south-eastern tip of Europe, overlooking both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. It was known in ancient times as Mons Calpe, one of the Two Pillars of Hercules, whilst Mons Abila, in Morocco, completes the pair. It was a hot August evening when I drove to the Rock´s lower southern plateau (the tip just mentioned)to walk my dog. I remember I was sitting with my legs hanging over the cliffs while my dog roamed freely about the area. I had this sudden urge to look over my shoulder and then saw a spherical metallic object/craft silently hovering (50 metres)above the military base placed on the upper plateau. I remember that there was a white circular radar in place at the time. The craft stood there motionless and its size was about the same as this military radar. I clearly remember its shape although the setting sun was shining brightly on the the right side of the craft. It had what looked like two bumps on the top of either side, although I was looking at it from below. I was looking at this object for almost 45 minutes. Then I took my eyes off it for not more than five seconds, and it was gone, having made no noise or anything. The very next day, GBC TV news showed video-footage of another cigar-shaped aerial vessel from which descended a sphere (as in the motion of a yo-yo)all the way down onto a Spanish oil-refinery in the Bay of Gibraltar, only to then ascend slowly back into this bigger object and then disappear on the spot as if imploding. This sighting took place on the same day I witnessed mine. Thank you | |
