| A few years ago my younger brother and I (16 & 18 years old at the time) looked out of our large sliding glass doors to my backyard of our home in Ancaster to see a strange object/light in the sky, sometime after 10. I saw the object through the tops of the forest trees flashing every colour. I originally thought it was a plane heading to the Hamilton airport because they travel over the route that this object took, but this object did not simply pass by. Firstly, the object was flashing multiple colours, unlike local air traffic. Secondly, it stayed in the area, moving around but also stopping to hover. I know that stars/planets can appear as lights emitting numerous colours but this object moved quite a distance and then stopped, then continued to move, and stop. I went to get my camera and record some of the event as best I could because it was evident to myself and sibling that this was a UFO. When it disappeared below the treeline, it had been hovering in the same spot for a while then simply took off. It was so long ago that I can't think of any other major details but I recall witnessing the event. The video was recorded at 11PM but we had been watching the object for at least half and hour before hand. I wish the camera was capable of showing more than just a black background of night sky. And my hands were not steady, but I believe this was when the object was hovering. In any case, I've always thought about this event and talked to many people about it but didn't think to look up simply Ancaster UFOs on Google until now. The reason I am submitting this is because when I did finally search such, many of the entries that came up report seeing a UFO on March 13th 2007 and March 17th 2007, and the video I took was from March 15th 2007. Not only that, but the event was reported to take place over on Melanie (court?) off of Amberly. I saw the object at a distance, but it would have been in that direction, matching the location of the other witness reports around that time. What I witnessed I did so from roughly Lloyminn and Jerseyville, and the event seemed to occur what I suppose is south-west of my location. As I said, it was in the area of where the other witness reports state. So as my encounter corresponds with what is currently posted on the web, I am contacting you with this info and video.
