| A craft of unknown size and shape with solid red lighting with yellow back-lighting, intense glow. Craft made no noise, it approached from the east at an altitude of my estimate of 4000-5000 ft. Initially, it held a straight path and consistent speed, which led me to at first believe it was a normal, known aircraft. However, as it neared the apex of the sky above me, it slowed its forward motion, until it came to a complete stop. It hovered for approximately a half minute, then it seemed to lift upwards at a high rate of speed, the light grew smaller and dimmer until I was unable to see it. The sky was partially obscured by high, thin clouds. I did see other aircraft in the sky at the time, jet traffic at the typical 30+ thousand feet, one crossed from southeast to the northwest while another was traveling due west. I attempted to film it with my cell phone, but the camera does not function in low light settings and did not capture the object. | |
